Le festival du Merveilleux
Every year, as the holiday season approaches, the Pavillons de Bercy are transformed to host a not-to-be-missed event: the Festival of Wonder. From December 26, 2025 to January 4, 2026, this exceptional venue, steeped in history, becomes a magical realm with an enchanting atmosphere. For the 2025 edition, the museum will showcase part of its collection of stage costumes from the worlds of music hall, circus, theatre, opera, and ballet.
A rich program for all ages

More than 10 show to discover
During the festival, the museum turns into a lively stage where performances follow one another in a joyful, festive rhythm. Musicians, dancers, automatons, mechanical music, video mapping, a multitude of artists invite you to enjoy their short, stand-up shows. The full program will be available on site on the day of your visit, and each show is presented several times a day, so that no one misses out on the magic. Festival regulars will be thrilled to see Ibrahim Hassan return! Inspired by the whirling dervish tradition, he presents his mesmerizing Tanoura dance, a twenty-minute performance that captivates and hypnotizes all who witness it, a unique experience in the heart of the museum!
Two attraction included
To make your visit complete, a selection of historical attractions and old rides will come to life once again. Two attraction tickets are included with each paid entry ticket, allowing you to try any two you choose. While part of this 19th-century heritage collection will remain at rest, you can enjoy carousels with wooden horses, velocipede rides, gondola rides, Japanese billiards, Dutch billiards, elastic tables, and the famous horse, boat, and waiter races! Please note that these attractions were originally designed for adults in the 19th century and are therefore mostly adult-sized.
An unforgettable holiday outing
For anyone looking to dive into the magic of the holidays while celebrating culture and heritage, the 2025 Festival du Merveilleux is an unmissable event. It’s the perfect opportunity to share a convivial moment with family or friends, explore the museum freely, enjoy multiple performances, and experience two attractions as a bonus!
