Festival du Merveilleux 2023

At the museum

Le festival du Merveilleux

The Festival du Merveilleux is the perfect way to spend the festive season with family and friends in Paris. This year, from December 27th to January 7th, you can enjoy onion soup or mulled wine in the decorated gardens of the Pavillons de Bercy. As always, live, digital and enchanting shows will be available all day long in the various halls.

A foretaste of the 1900 Olympic Games!

For its 13th edition, the Festival du Merveilleux is giving sports a place of honor. More precisely, the sport of the fairground, which amazed the public as much as it challenged them.
It’s this combination of Belle Epoque funfair and sport that you’ll discover at the Festival du Merveilleux. And maybe you’ll come across Pierre de Coubertin, inventor of the Olympic Games…

A RANGE OF SHOWS FOR ALL AUDIENCES

During the festival, the museum becomes the stage for a colorful program. A variety of short-form shows are performed to revive the excitement of an old-fashioned funfair. Let yourself be carried away by the joyous atmosphere. Aerial enchantment (rope and aerial hoop), tap dancer, burlesque clown, tanoura dance, musicians, immersive show “Venice the Serenissima”, “sporty” dance tour, outdoor parade… All live shows are performed 4 times a day. The program is posted on the venue.

To make sure you get the full experience of the thrills and spills of the past, a small selection of star attractions and a few rides over a hundred years old will be in service. With each admission ticket, 2 attraction tickets are offered to the public, allowing them to try out two of their choice. Please note that as we are first and foremost a museum, most of our exhibits date back to the 19th century, and some of these rides will be at rest.

To make sure you’re in for a fairytale treat this year, buy your tickets today. Capacity will be limited by time slot, and the number of tickets will be limited, especially in the afternoon.
To celebrate the transition to 2024, we’re offering a reduced rate for everyone on January 1 before midday.
