Le festival du Merveilleux
The Festival du Merveilleux is back again this year to offer you an enchanted interlude during the festive season! From 27 December to 5 January, come and enjoy an unforgettable time with friends and family at the Pavillons de Bercy. Every day, be surprised by live shows, digital animations and magical performances. You can also enjoy a stroll through our gardens, decorated for the season, with a glass of mulled wine or onion soup in hand!
The Joyeux-Bercy has never been so well named
This year, the Festival du Merveilleux invites you to immerse yourself in the warm, festive atmosphere of the Joyeux Bercy, a time when the Bercy district was a veritable crossroads of conviviality: the riverbanks were alive with the comings and goings of wine merchants and workers, as well as artists and canoeists.
The cafés, guinguettes and inns were filled with laughter, music and friendship, while popular festivals such as the famous water jousts and barrel-rider races made the district famous. This festive past will be presented to you in a unique exhibition of old photos and objects dating back to the days of the old wine cellars.
Come and join us in celebrating the warm and friendly spirit that still reigns in Bercy, in a unique and enchanting setting, where every event will transport you back to the wonderful times of yesteryear!
Performances for all ages
Over a dozen shows to see
During the festival, the museum is transformed into a vibrant place, with a wide range of performances. The public can enjoy a variety of short performances: musicians, dancers, mechanical music shows, an introduction to guinguette dancing, puppeteers, automatons, video mapping, acrobats and even a hypnotist.
The programme will be available on site on the day of your visit, but the shows are all scheduled several times a day.
Two vintage attractions on offer
n order to complete the discovery of our museum, a small selection of flagship attractions and some old rides will be put into operation. 2 attraction tickets are offered with each entry ticket, allowing you to try two of your choice. The other part of these 19th century heritage objects will be at rest but you will be able to try the wooden horse carousel, velocipede carousel, gondola carousel, Japanese billiards, Dutch billiards, elastic tables and the famous horse, boat and waiter races! Note that these attractions were mainly intended for adults in the 19th century and are therefore mostly adult-sized.
For those looking to immerse themselves in the magic of the holidays while celebrating culture and heritage, the Festival du Merveilleux 2024 is an event not to be missed. The festival is an opportunity to enjoy a friendly moment with family or friends, to discover the museum spaces without being guided and to attend numerous shows with two bonus attractions.
